Since 1923 the Cairns Choral Society has produced ensembles and choirs for the North Queensland Eisteddfod, today known as the Festival of Performing Arts. As well as Eisteddfod competitions, the Choir and its members also perform at our annual events: Supper with the Classics and The Gala Spectacular. The Choir is also a regular performer at Carols by Candlelight evenings and Festival of Cairns events.

Since 2019 the Choir has been led by our Musical Director, Mrs Joanne Wright.

The society is truly blessed to have such a talented and dedicated person guiding our musical direction.
